General Conduct and Discipline
Shaheed Pramod Pharmacy College expects all students to maintain high standards of discipline, conduct, and academic integrity. The following rules and guidelines apply to all students enrolled in our programs.
1. Attendance Requirements
- Students must maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in theory classes and 80% in practical sessions as per PCI and university norms.
- Students falling short of attendance requirements will not be permitted to appear for examinations.
- Medical leave must be supported by a valid medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
- Punctuality is mandatory. Late comers may be denied entry to classes.
2. Classroom and Laboratory Conduct
- Students must wear the prescribed college uniform and identity card while on campus.
- Lab coats and safety equipment are mandatory during practical sessions.
- Mobile phones must be switched off or kept in silent mode during classes.
- Eating, drinking, and chewing gum are not permitted in laboratories and classrooms.
- Students must handle laboratory equipment with care. Damage caused by negligence will be charged.
3. Academic Integrity
- Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.
- Students found using unfair means during examinations will face disciplinary action.
- All assignments and projects must be original work. Copied content will result in penalty.
- Respect for faculty members, staff, and fellow students is expected at all times.
4. Campus Behavior
- Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and punishable as per law.
- Consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs within the campus is strictly forbidden.
- Students must not engage in any activity that disrupts the academic environment.
- Political activities and unauthorized gatherings are not permitted on campus.
- Misuse of college property, including internet facilities, will result in strict action.
5. Hostel Rules (if applicable)
- Hostel residents must adhere to the prescribed in-time and out-time regulations.
- Visitors are permitted only during visiting hours and in designated areas.
- Hostel residents must maintain cleanliness and order in their rooms and common areas.
- No electrical appliances other than those permitted may be used in hostel rooms.
- Hostel accommodation may be revoked for violation of rules.
6. Library Rules
- Library silence must be maintained at all times.
- Books must be returned by the due date. Late returns attract fines.
- Loss or damage to library books must be reported immediately and compensated.
- Reference books and journals are for in-library use only.
7. Disciplinary Actions
Violations of college rules may result in one or more of the following disciplinary actions:
- Verbal warning and counseling
- Written warning with parental notification
- Fine or compensation for damages
- Suspension from classes or hostel
- Expulsion from the institution
- Legal action in case of criminal offenses
8. Grievance Redressal
Students with grievances or complaints may approach:
- Class Coordinator or Department Head
- College Grievance Redressal Committee
- Anti-Ragging Committee (for ragging complaints)
- Women's Grievance Cell (if applicable)
9. Amendments
The College reserves the right to amend these rules as and when necessary. All students are expected to stay updated with current regulations communicated through official notices.
